Studio Policies
01 Payments & Deposits
- A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date on our calendar.
- The remaining balance must be paid in full after receiving pictures of the finished cake if paying through Cashapp, Venmo, Zelle, or Apple Pay. Cash payments can be made at the door.
- No-Refund Policy: All payments, including the final balance, are non-refundable once received.
02 Design & Artistry
- Inspiration pictures are for reference only. Every cake is a bespoke creation and will never look exactly like the inspiration provided.
- Burn Image Cakes: The burn effect must be performed the same day as pickup to ensure the structural integrity of the edible image.
- Serving amounts are estimates based on standard cutting styles. Actual yield may vary depending on how the cake is sliced.
03 Cake Care & Transport
- Cakes must be kept refrigerated and on a level surface at all times during transport and storage.
- Please follow all provided cake care instructions strictly to maintain the design.
- Once the cake is in the customer’s care, Katie’s Cake is not accountable for any damage or structural issues that occur.
04 Safety & Ingredients
- Tiered cakes contain non-edible internal structures (dowels/boards) that must be considered when cutting.
- All non-edible toppers or decorative words must be removed before consuming.
- Allergies must be disclosed upfront. We cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment as we work with various ingredients in-studio.
05 Pickup Protocol
- Please come directly to our studio door at your scheduled time to receive your cake.
- Please communicate if arriving late for pickup. Typically cannot pickup earlier than scheduled time.
